We only take on what we know we can do excellently and if there's something that can't be done in house at Glacier Graphics we can refer you out to another professional in that area of interest. We absolutely will not take on something that can't be done first class. In a community like the Mat-Su Valley, and even alaska as a whole, a business must operate with the goal of creating happy customers. If the customers aren't happy the business fails. About the owner I'm Bryce Hyslip and I own and operate Glacier Graphics. I can't say that I've been in the business since the beginning of the internet but I have been dealing with graphic design long enough to know what looks great and how to build functional, beautiful designs. It's seems I didn't chose to become a graphic designer, but rather graphic design chose me. I began working at a family owned business that started calling for more and more graphic design work. Our business hired out the creation of a couple of websites and all we got in return was disappointment and a big hole in our wallet. So I took a crack at it and before you know it I was making websites for multiple people and doing graphic design for several business and organizations. Today, I attend the University of Alaska Anchorage studying for a bachelor's degree in journalism and public communication specializing in graphic design with a minor degree in business management. I may have done things backwards compared to most people, first I learned graphic design by simply studying design and recreating it with my own flare, and now I am going to school to get the credentials to back my work. But maybe it is better this way, I am not forcing a profession upon my self but rather I am taking my natural talent and using it to do something I love. |
